State Secretary for Development Policy Visits Washington

 

Mr. Bálint Magyar, State Secretary for Development Policy of the Hungarian Government visited Washington on April 25-26. The State Secretary, who is a representative of the junior coalition partner of the Government, the Alliance of the Free Democrats had exchanged views on current bilateral and international topics with Administration officials including NSC Director Adam Sterling and Deputy Assistant Secretary of States Mark Pekala.

Mr. Magyar, former Minister of Education also met in the State Department  with George Atkinson, Science and Technology Adviser to Secretary Rice to discuss possibilities for a PhD exhange program. Exploring new ways of education cooperation he also had meetings in the Department of Education and IBM.
