Embassy Team Races for the Cure

The Susan B. Komen Foundation organized the National Race for the Cure for the nineteenth time on June 7, 2008 to raise awareness about breast cancer and to help facilitate finding a cure. The team of the Embassy of Hungary, led by Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi, participated at the race. This was the fourth time the Hungarian Embassy nominated a team for the Race.

Ambassador and Mrs. Somogyi talked to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and the Race’s founder, U.S. Chief of Protocol Nancy G. Brinker, during the Pre-Race Rally at the National Mall.
