Following the tour of the White House, the Ambassadors and their families were invited to Blair House for a Holiday Celebration by U.S. Chief of Protocol Nancy Brinker. The new protocol chief welcomed the Somogyis with special warmth as Ms. Brinker was U.S. Ambassador to Budapest in 2001-2003 and has known the Hungarian Ambassador and his family for many years now. They also met Ambassador Brinker's son, Erick Brinker, who is the Director of Brand Management and Customer Experience at JetBlue Airlines.
