The Embassy of Hungary in Washington surprised the capital city with a unique way of closing the series of events honoring the 50th Anniversary of the 1956 Revolution. They presented the feature documentary “Freedom’s Fury” at Uptown Theater with executive producer Lucy Liu, the Hollywood actress and star of “Charlie’s Angels”, on November 17.

"Freedom’s Fury" is a powerful feature documentary about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the “Bloodiest Game in Olympic History,” by Colin Keith Gray and Megan Raney Aarons (known as the Sibs). In this hard-hitting film, the story is finally told about the fateful moment in 1956 when Hungary exploded in a people power revolt and climaxes with the infamous water polo showdown between Hungary and the Soviet Union at the Melbourne Olympics.   Now known as the “Blood in the Water Match,” the documentary follows the journey of the Hungarian Olympic water polo team and its young star, Ervin Zador, who find themselves the unwitting focal point of the most politicized sports match ever played.
