Prime Minister’s Wife Meets Mrs. Bush – Chief of Protocol Brinker Hosts Women’s Heart Disease Event

U.S. Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker hosted an event to raise awareness about women’s heart diseases yesterday at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The event, sponsored by Neiman Marcus, began with a fashion show. Following the show, Chief of Protocol Brinker, Mrs. Laura Bush and Dr. Susan Bennett address the topic of women's risk to heart diseases. (Brinker is also a former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary.)

At the invitation of Ambassador Brinker, two first ladies, Klára Dobrev, wife of Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, and Laura Bush, wife of U.S. President George W. Bush, spent the luncheon together. The event was attended by spouses of Washington-based Ambassadors, including Mrs. Andrea Bors Somogyi of Hungary, and other influential women in the DC political, cultural and social scene.
