Ambassador Somogyi Receives Honorary Doctorate from McDaniel College

McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, held its 139th Commencement ceremony on May 23, 2009. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Hungary, Ferenc Somogyi, was awarded the Doctor of Public Service honorary degree by the college. The award was presented to him by Dolores J. Snyder, Trustee of McDaniel College.

McDaniel College has a campus in Budapest, Hungary, the first accredited American undergraduate college established in Hungary. Ambassador Somogyi was instrumental in the creation of the Budapest campus and has served on the Board of Trustees of McDaniel College since 1994.
