Hungary's Leaders Congratulate
President Obama, Thank Outgoing Administration
The political leaders of the Republic of Hungary
have congratulated President Obama on his inauguration and members
of his administration on their appointments. President László
Sólyom, Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, and Foreign Minister Kinga
Göncz sent letters to their new counterparts in which they all
expressed their intent to develop fruitful cooperation with the new
U.S. leadership. Prime Minister Gyurcsány and Minister Göncz sent
letters to President Bush and Secretary Rice thanking them for their
friendship and partnership during the past eight years.
