President and Mrs. Bush at State Department Holiday Party for Ambassadors and Spouses - Ambassador and Mrs. Somogyi in Attendance


Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice and U.S. Chief of Protocol Nancy Brinker invited the Chiefs of Diplomatic Missions and their Spouses to the State Department's Holiday Reception. Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi and Mrs. Andrea Bors Somogyi attended the annual event.

Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice welcomed the Ambassadors and spouses present and expressed her delight over having worked with them in recent years. President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush honored the party with their participation. President Bush greeted the head of missions and their wives/husbands and stated that he enjoyed working with the diplomatic corps of Washington over the past eight years.

After the greetings, President and Mrs. Bush shook hands with all the attendees. At the end of the reception, a family photo was taken of Secretary Rice and all the present Ambassadors and spouses.
