Kossuth House Hosts Hungarian Children for Annual Santa Claus Celebration

The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America (HRFA) hosted its traditional annual St. Nicholas (Mikulás / Santa Claus) Celebration at its Headquarters, Kossuth House, for Hungarian children and their families. St. Nicholas (Mikulás / Santa Claus) greeted the kids and presented them with several gifts. Some of the children sang or recited poems to St. Nicholas.

Judit Mayer, pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Washington, DC, delivered the invocation. HRFA President Leslie L. Megyeri welcomed the families and especially the little ones to their traditional celebration. Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi greeted participants and underlined the importance of bringing together the children of the community.

The families of Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi and several colleagues at the Embassy attended the celebration. Bence Somogyi, Balázs Somogyi, Tádé Tibor Bácsi-Nagy, Katalin Hermann and Zoltán Hermann thoroughly enjoyed meeting St. Nicholas and playing together.
