Mr. György gave a concert in Carnegie Hall's prestigious Stern Auditorium on November 2, 2008. This concert and this venue signify a milestone in the young musician's career. Before the performance, Father Jacques F. LaPointe, the head of the St. Stephen of Hungary Friary, and Reverend Attila Kocsis Attila of the Hungarian Protestant Church delivered remarks.

The performance attracted nearly full house in the 2,800-person Stern Auditorium. The audience expressed its appreciation with a long standing ovation, after which Mr. György gave two encores. Among those attending the concert were Professor August Molnár, President of the American Hungarian Foundation, Marianne Krencsey and Gyula Nemes, leader of the Fészek Club of Hungarians in New York, Consul General Viktor Polgár and Consul Zsófia Trombitás, and on behalf of the Embassy, Press Attaché Zoltán Fehér and Cultural Attaché Béla Gedeon.
