Wednesday, August 9, 2006 Ambassador András Simonyi performed with his band 'Budapest-Washington' at Hungary's annual Sziget Festival on Wednesday night. He was accompanied by a special guest appearance of the world-famous Hungarian Lakatos brothers Tony, on the saxophone, and Roby, on the violin. Their musical talent and blues solos were one of the evening's highlights. The show was also a tribute to the memory of guitar player Tamás Barta with whom Simonyi had played in the early 1970s and who passed away in the United States. The Sziget Festival is Europe's largest outdoors annual youth and popular music jamboree, also referred to as EuroWoodstock. The festival runs from August 9-16 on Óbudai Island in Budapest.
