Ambassador Simonyi met with Senator
Lamar Alexander, member of the Foreign Relations Committee and the
Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and Marsha W.
Blackburn, Representative of the 7th District of the State of
Tennessee on May 13 and 18, 2005.
Besides discussing current foreign
policy issues with the two politicians, the Ambassador briefed the Senator
and the Congresswoman on the recent visit of the Hungarian Health Minister
in their constituency, and reviewed the possibilities of future
cooperation between Hungary and Tennessee.
