Ambassador Simonyi Speaks to Board of Fort Worth Sister Cities International

 

Ambassador Simonyi briefed the members of the Board of Directors of Fort Worth on the most relevant issues of the Hungarian-U.S. political, economic and cultural relations, emphasizing the significant role municipal organizations can play in bolstering meaningful relationships and international understanding among youth, adult, and business organizations.

The capital of Hungary, Budapest and Fort Worth, TX, have been sister cities since 1990 and enjoyed many years of successful exchanges and programs.

Ambassador Simonyi spoke on a distinguished panel featuring Congressmen Joe Wilson and Thaddeus McCotter, members of the International Relations Committee, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce Neal Burnham, and the President of Fort Worth Sister Cities International, Barclay Berdan.
