Embassy Hosts Yale-in-Washington

On July 11, the Embassy of Hungary hosted the Yale-in-Washington Program for a reception. This is the second year Yale University organizes an all-summer series of events for its undergraduates living or interning in Washington, DC.

The idea of the reception was conceived at the visit to Yale by Hungary's Ambassador to the US András Simonyi and US Ambassador to Hungary George Herbert Walker in March 2006.

At the event, Ambassador Simonyi greeted the students and he answered many of their questions from the podium and after the formal program. The special guest of the evening was American astronaut Leroy Chiao, the former Commander of the International Space Station. Commander Chiao, himself a scientist, received numerous questions from the students.
