Ambassador
Simonyi visited the University of Pittsburgh on February 21 to discuss the
possibility of partnership between Pitt and Hungarian universities. He had
a meeting with Dr. James V. Maher, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor, Dr.
Vijai P. Singh, Associate Chancellor, on future cooperation in the field
of sciences, scientific education and research as well as on the
importance of student exchange programs and the mobility of young people
between our two countries.
Ambassador
Simonyi met with students during a lecture he gave on Hungary and
trans-Atlantic relations, organized by Prof. Alberta Sbragia, Director of
the European Union Center,
in collaboration with the Center for Russian & East European
Studies.
He
also visited the Hungarian Nationality Room, guided by Sybilla Suda in
perfect Hungarian.
