Hungarian American Military Heroes Honored on Memorial Day at Arlington Cemetery

The American Hungarian Federation and the Embassy of Hungary joined in honoring Hungarian American military service and sacrifice, and the common bonds that tie Hungarians and Americans together, at a commemoration held at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day 2006.

Representatives from NATO, the U.S. and Hungarian military, and Hungarian American leaders attended the event.

The program included a roll-call of present and past Hungarian and American military veterans and wreath-laying at the tombs of Hungarian American soldiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place for a number of Hungarian American military heroes.
