DCM Visits Houston, TX, Discusses U.S. - Europe Ties

On March 2-3, the Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission, Viktor Szederkényi, visited the Houston, TX area. He met with professors and students at Texas A&M and St. Thomas Universities, where he spoke about the importance of trans-Atlantic relations and the impact the EU's enlargement had on U.S. - EU cooperation. He also discussed current trends in U.S.-Hungarian relations - how the two countries cooperate on international issues.

The DCM also met with several City officials on the margins of the 2006 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which traditionally provides an excellent forum for interaction between the local leadership and international visitors.
