The
Embassy of the Republic of Hungary organized, parallel with the 2005
Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, DC, a
Symposium on Neuroscience on November 14.
Prominent
Hungarian neuroscientists working on both sides of the Atlantic presented a wide
international audience of about 140 professionals the results of their latest
research. The speakers, among
them a former Nobel Prize-nominee and rising young star, the NIH institute
research director, as well as university professors from Hungary, proved again
the strengths of Hungarian neuroscience - diversity and excellence.
The Symposium provided an excellent
opportunity for American and Hungarian scientists to meet and discuss
cooperation in the field of neuroscience.
