Ambassador Simonyi Meets with Congresswoman Kay Granger

 

Ambassador Simonyi met with Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX), deputy majority whip and member of the House Appropriations Committee, today to discuss current foreign policy issues of mutual interest.

Congresswoman Granger and Ambassador Simonyi agreed on the importance of joining forces in the war on terror. The Ambassador briefed the Congresswoman on his upcoming visit to Dallas and Forth Worth, TX, emphasizing Hungary's commitment to building strong economic ties with Texas, especially in the fields of high tech and health care. He also stressed the important role Forth Worth Sister Cities International played in building close relations between the cities of Budapest and Forth Worth.
