Dr.
Szilveszter Vizi, President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
began his visit to the U.S. in Washington, DC, by holding a presentation
at the NIH today.
In
Washington, DC, he met with Ambassador András Simonyi and representatives
of the U.S. government, the scientific world, and the press, and informed
them about the ongoing preparation of the World Science Forum, one of the
most important events of international science in 2005.
In
partnership with UNESCO and ICSU, and with the support of the Hungarian
government, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is organizing the next World
Science Forum. Next year's Forum will focus on "Knowledge, Ethics and
Responsibility." The Forum will be held
November 10-12, 2005, at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the
