With a presentation by Ambassador
András Simonyi, the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), launched
the University's so-called "Ambassadors' Series," designed to
provide an insight
for UDC students into international politics and diplomatic life. The
Ambassador talked about ongoing issues in world politics, such as the war on
terror, Hungary's upcoming EU accession, and the role of "soft power" in
international politics. After his presentation, Ambassador Simonyi
answered questions from the audience.
Ambassador Mark Palmer (left), former U.S.
Ambassador to Hungary, and UDC Vice President for Student Affairs Clemmie
Solomon (right) also participated
in the event.
