Ambassador Simonyi met Senator Gordon H.
Smith, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Trade, Tourism and
Economic Development for an exchange of views on the future of
trans-Atlantic relations and the further strengthening of bilateral
relations.
The Senator, who in his capacity of
Europe Subcommittee Chairman supported Hungary’s accession to the NATO,
expressed his appreciation for Hungary’s joining among the first to
support Coalition efforts in Iraq.
