Foreign Affairs Committee Visits Washington

 

A delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Parliament headed by Chairman Zsolt Németh visited Washington between October 23-28, 2004 to discuss current foreign policy issues of mutual concern, such as the future of transatlantic relations and the fight against terrorism, with prominent members of Congress and the administration.

The delegation met with Senator Richard G. Lugar, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman, Dan Fried, Senior Director of the NSC, and other senior government officials.

Mr. Németh was also the guest speaker at the Embassy’s National Day reception commemorating the ’56 Hungarian Revolution.
