Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc
Gyurcsány sent a congratulatory note to George W. Bush yesterday on the
occasion of his second inauguration as U.S. president. In his letter, the
Prime Minister said that the success of the war on terror and joint
efforts to spread democracy around the world were of "special
significance." He assured the President that Hungary will do
everything to strengthen the trans-Atlantic link, the strategic
partnership between Europe and the U.S.
In closing, Prime Minister Gyurcsány,
recalling President George H.W. Bush's visit to Hungary 15 years ago,
invited George W. Bush to visit Hungary.
