Ambassador Simonyi Visits Chicago

 

Ambassador Simonyi attended the 20th anniversary reception and gala dinner of The Executives' Club of Chicago honoring Kaarina Koskenalusta, who has been President and CEO of the Club in the last two decades and is Hungary's honorary consul for the state of Illinois. The Executives' Club, with more than 1,750 members, attracts a diverse group of Chicago's business and civic leaders.

During his visit, Ambassador Simonyi met with Robert Langlois, the Director of Global Relations of Motorola. The Ambassador also visited the Microsoft Technology Center, where he had discussions with Director Adam Hacktman and met with members of the Hungarian Cultural Advisory Council. Edgar D. Jannotta, chairman of William Blair & Co., received the Ambassador in his office to talk about business opportunities.

Ambassador Simonyi also met with Mayor Richard Daley, and spoke highly of the Mayors' achievements in building such a prosperous city.
