A delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Parliament headed by Chairman Zsolt Németh visited Washington

A delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Parliament headed by Chairman Zsolt Németh visited Washington between October 16-18 to discuss current foreign policy issues of mutual concern, such as the future of trans-Atlantic relations and the situation in Afghanistan and Kosovo, with prominent members of Congress and the administration.

The delegation met with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Kurt Volker, Deputy Assistant Secretaries John Gastricht and Rosemary DiCarlo.

Ambassador András Simonyi hosted a luncheon at his residence with foreign affairs assistants of Senator Voinovich and Congressman Tom Lantos, Pentagon political advisor Debra Cagan and State Department officials.
