Ambassador and His Wife Host Magyar Klub Lecture Series About Hungarian-American Relations at Residence

Ambassador Béla Szombati and his wife, Zsuzsa Szombati hosted the members of the Hungarian Club of Washington, DC at the Residence for the monthly lecture on Hungarian-American relations on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Magyar Club President Kinga Révész welcomed the fifty-plus audience and introduced Ambassador Szombati.

Ambassador Szombati talked about trans-Atlantic political and economic relations, Hungarian cultural events in Washington, DC, and answered questions about Hungarian acceptance of a detainee from the Guantanamo Base, Hungarian-Slovak relations, and the Hungarian Government's Roma integration program. The lecture was followed by a buffet reception.
