International Trade and Embassy Conference in Bethesda, MD
The World Trade Center Institute (WTCI), the State of
Maryland, and Montgomery County organized the 2009
Maryland International Trade & Embassy Conference (MITEC) in the Mariott
Hotel in Bethesda, MD on Friday, September 25. MITEC was an all-day
tradeshow and diplomatic conference. Around 170 international companies and
American university institutions, along with 55 embassies from Washington,
DC presented their commercial and investment possibilities, scientific and
educational achievements, cultural programs and heritage of their firms or
sending states.

The 2009 Tradeshow and Conference workshops focused on three key
industry sectors: global education, life sciences/health care, and
advanced technologies.

The Hungarian stand presented interactive CDs and DVDs of
the
Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency (ITDH), the
latest brochures and booklets of the
Hungarian Tourism Office, printed and electronic information
booklets of more than a dozen
Hungarian universities, program brochures of the
"Extremely Hungary"
cultural year, and also products of the
Rubik Studio distributed in
the United States. Economic Counselor Edit Pápai, Embassy Intern
Laura Tandi and Cultural Attaché Béla Gedeon represented Hungary at
the Embassy stand.
