Hungarian Ákos Vanek Participates in the Dextro Energy Triathlon

Mr. Alistair Brownlee (GBR) and Ms. Emma Moffatt (AUS) claimed the gold medals on Pennsylvania Avenue in the men's and women's elite groups in the Dextro Energy Triathlon -- ITU World Championship Series on Sunday, June 21 in Washington, DC.
 

Hungarian Triathlonist Ákos Vanek

 

Mr. Ákos Vanek (Budaörsi Triatlon Klub) was the only Hungarian triatlonist in the competition. He finished with a Total Time of 1:53:54 on the 27th place in the really strong elite men group. The total times of the first three men show the pace of the swimming-cycling-running contest: gold medalist Alistair Brownlee (GBR) 1:48:58, silver medalist Gomez Javier (ESP) 01:49:11, and bronze medalist Petzold Maik (GER) 01:49:24. The trainers of Mr. Vanek include Ottó Pócsföldi (cycling), Dr. Gábor Pozsgay (swimming), and János Zemen (running).
