American Hungarian Federation Lays Wreath at the Victims of Communism Memorial and Hosts a Congressional Reception on the 51st Anniversary of the 1956 Revolution

The American Hungarian Federation (AHF) laid a wreath at the Victims of Communism Memorial (VOCM) on the corner of Massachussetts Avenue and New Jersey Avenue.

The ceremony was followed by a reception hosted in the Rayburn Office Building, where Chairman of the Board Ákos Nagy presented the AHF Award to Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter for his cultivation of the memory of 1956.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi gave a speech about the significance of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and the current foreign policy of Hungary.
