Ambassador Somogyi Hosts Dinner in Honor of Professor Charles Gati

Ambassador Ferenc Somogyi hosted a dinner in honor of Professor Charles Gati and his wife, Toby Gati on Tuesday, December 16, at 7pm. Ambassador Somogyi, his wife, Andrea Bors Somogyi, and diplomats of the Hungarian Embassy's political section greeted Professor Gati and his wife at the Hungarian Residence.

Political Science Professor Charles Gati, who has worked at the Russian and Eurasian Studies Department of Johns Hopkins University and been research fellow at the university’s foreign policy institute since 2000, was one of the three recipients of the award of “2008 Certificate of Merit in Promoting Hungarian International Relations” (click here to read more). Mrs. Toby Gati is Senior International Adviser of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, and she was Former Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research under President Bill Clinton.

Bush; Francis Fukuyama, Bernard L. Schwartz Professor of International Political Economy at The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University; Robert King, Staff Director of the U.S. House Foreign Relations Committee; Jim Langdon, Senior Partner of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; Former Chairman of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board under President George W. Bush; his wife, Sandy Langdon; Stephen F. Szabo, Executive Director of the Transatlantic Academy of the German Marshall Fund of the United States; his wife, Joan Szabo; and Max Teleki, President of the Hungarian American Coalition;
