September 30, 2009 Solo Performance by KFT Singer and Keyboard Player Tibor Bornai Mr. Tibor Bornai, singer and keyboard player of the Hungarian music band KFT, gave a solo piano performance at the Embassy of Hungary on Wednesday, September 30, titled ‘Gondolkodom, tehát dalok’, which approximately translates, 'I Think Therefore I Song.'
The concert, which included songs by the singer and the band, personal stories and 'stand-up comedy' bits, is scheduled to play in Komédium Theatre in Budapest, Hungary from October 2009.
The concert was thoroughly enjoyed by the Hungarian and American audience, which demanded five extras from the singer. During the post-performance buffet reception, he answered questions and comments about the concert and his professional background.
Tibor Bornai has been a founding member of the Hungarian music band KFT, which produced twelve LPs since its formation in 1981. He is also the founding member of the Russian-based world and ethno music group called Baba Yaga, which published two CDs, one in Berlin, Germany and one in Moscow, Russia. He also wrote songs for famous Hungarian actor-singers, like Zsuzsa Koncz and Pál Mácsai. Mr. Bornai’s fifth solo album is due to be published this October, incidentally, with the same title as that of the concert at the Embassy. His first novel, titled “Lőj az ördögre!” (literally ‘Shoot at the devil’), is also due to be published in October.
