Ambassador
Simonyi delivered a speech at the opening of the Torn Curtain Art exhibition
at the Lincoln Theatre on
Miami Beach. The exhibition that was organized by the Budapest-based art consultant Ms.
Dianne Brown and Ms. Ileana Bravo of the Ileana Bravo Productions, Inc.
provided a great opportunity for six young Hungarian artists to show their
work in the
United States.

In his remarks, Ambassador Simonyi acknowledged the magnificent work of Ms.
Brown and Ms. Bravo in promoting contemporary Hungarian art. He emphasized
that creativity is the most important resource that any country could have
and in
Hungary
there is an abundance of creative people. The Ambassador highlighted the
talent of Zsolt Bodoni and Sándor Szász, two of the featured artists who
were present at the opening of the exhibition. He called the artists the
real Ambassadors of Hungarian culture.

The exhibition is on display at the historic Lincoln Theatre on
Miami Beach
- home of the New World Symphony - from December 5, 2006 until January 7,
2007 at the Lincoln Theatre541 Lincoln Road,Miami Beach.
Ambassador Simonyi also met with the Mayor of Miami Mr. Manuel Diaz. The
Mayor and the Ambassador exchanged views on how to enhance contacts between
Miami
and
Budapest
. They also discussed the potential of cooperation in education and
technology.
